The Fresno
County Sportsmen's Club is a
private, members-only club, not open to
the general public. Your family (spouse
and children under the age of 18) will have secure
access to our gated club property at 10645 Lanes Road,
Fresno. There are full-time live-in caretakers on the
grounds to help you and to protect the property.
Membership dues are $50 per year. Your membership may
include the following:
- Access to the
13-acre grounds, with unlimited access all year
long, open 364 days out of the year. There is only
one day that you will not be able to use the grounds
without paying admission--That would be our annual
picnic held during the summer.
- Use of the
2-acre fishing pond. The pond is only closed a few
times out of the year for special events sponsored
by the club. When the pond is closed for one of
these events, a sign is posted so that all members
know that no fishing is allowed, and when the pond
will be reopened for member's use. You must have a
valid fishing license to fish in the pond. Catch and
release is encouraged.
- Access to the
San Joaquin River for fishing, kayaking, canoeing and boating.
We have a small boat ramp for our members' use.
- Baseball,
volleyball and horseshoe pits. Kids play area.
Grassy areas for play and picnicking.
- BBQ areas
throughout the club, for your enjoyment. Charcoal
only in all BBQ’s. No open fires are
allowed.
- Swimming,
hiking, nature walks, wildlife viewing and just
plain relaxing along the river and club grounds.
- A subscription to
the monthly newsletter.
- Camping along
the west side of the pond is available all year
round. Sorry, there are no showers or RV hookups.
We encourage our
members to get involved in the following:
- Use and help
improve the grounds and facilities.
- Contribute
their time and talents to achieve a more effective
organization.
- Participate in
the club’s social and recreational events.
- Participate in
wildlife, fish, education, and recreation programs.
- Participate in
fund raising activities and projects.
- Join one of our
club-sponsored events throughout the year.
- Be on one of
our many committees or our governing board.
