A. Club events and
activities are for the general enjoyment of the members
and their families. Each member has a share in
maintaining all the areas. Within these rules and
regulations, all members have the right to use the Club
and its facilities at any time.
B. All persons under the age of 18 must be
accompanied by an adult paid member and supervised at
all times. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Admittance:
A. Membership:
Includes, spouse and children under the age of 18. All
members must show a current membership card on demand.
Only the Caretaker and members of the Executive
committee are authorized to check memberships.
B. Guests:
Unrestricted for Club events when specified by the Board
of Directors. Guests must otherwise be accompanied by a
paid member and when 13 years or older, a guest fee of
$2.00 must be paid to the Caretaker. Children 12 years
and under are admitted free. A limit of 20 persons per
group are permitted at any one time. Any larger group
must be booked with our Rental manager. Children must
never be left on the grounds without an adult member at
any time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
C. Hours of Use: Members are welcome at the Club
24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The main gate will be
locked at 11:00pm and will be reopened at 5:30am. If you
need admittance between these time you will need to call
the caretaker to unlock the gate. The only days you may
not use the facilities are when we have our annual
Sportsmen’s Swap Meet in March and the annual Picnic
held in mid to late summer.
II: Secondary Use of the Property
A. Other
Organizations: All groups, organizations, businesses
or individuals wishing to use the property shall contact
the Rental Manager for a reservation and pay the fees
for rentals set by the Board of Directors and Executive
Committee, at least 30 days prior to the use date.
B. Holidays: There will be no Clubhouse or
grounds rental on any Major Holiday during the year,
these are New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day,
4th of July, Labor Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The facilities at
these times are set aside for membership use only.
C. Liability: The Fresno County Sportsmen's Club
shall not be held liable for acts or damage resulting
from use of the facilities by any organization, Club
members or other individuals.
D. Responsibility: All groups, organizations,
businesses, individuals or Club members using the Club
property shall pay for any and all damages to the
grounds, buildings or other Club property and shall
assume all liability while using such grounds or Club
property.
III: GENERAL RULES
A. Camping:
Members only and using one campsite only, with no more
than 10 persons in each campsite, are permitted for 3
days & 2 nights only per week. Campers must register
with the Caretaker in advance of occupying a campsite.
Camping is allowed in designated, numbered campsites
only and will be assigned by Caretaker. Caretaker will
register the member of each campsite by name, address,
and phone number and driver’s license. Only one vehicle
will be permitted at each campsite. All additional
vehicles must be parked in the parking lot immediately
after unloading or loading at campsite. As of Jan 1.
2012 a fee will be charged for the use of a campsite.
B. Grounds Use: Designated areas will be set
aside for the exclusive use of Club members only, when
portions of the grounds are rented out.
C. Vehicles & Parking: All types of vehicles are
restricted to the parking lot except for the unloading
or loading at the campsite or on designated roadways.
After unloading or loading, all vehicles must be
returned to the parking lot immediately. However,
handicapped persons may park vehicles for easier access
or for the unloading or loading of equipment, in such a
manner as to not obstruct access by other vehicles or
persons authorized to use area. Please notify Caretaker
before using this privilege. NOTICE: A one-way traffic
pattern is in use around the camping area between the
river and the fishing pond. A posted 5 MPH speed limit
will prevail on all Club Property and will be strictly
enforced by the Caretaker. Failure to heed the speed
limit may result in loss of Club membership and
privileges.
D. Fires: Absolutely no open fires of any kind
are permitted anywhere on Club Property. Only charcoal
may be used in all designated barbecue pits located in
the picnic and camping areas and must be provided by the
user. No wood burning. Hot burned charcoal used in any
private barbecues, must be dumped in the bottom of the
large barbecue under the arbor picnic area.
E. Dogs: All pets must be kept on a leash, with
the maximum length of 8 feet. All pets must be kept
under control at all times and may not run free. Owners
must clean up after their pets. Pets are not to be left
alone or unattended on the Club grounds.
F. Rubbish – Garbage – Refuse: All rubbish,
garbage and other refuse must be placed in the
containers provided by the Club. Recorded infractions of
this rule can result in the loss of privileges and use
of the Club grounds and facilities.
G. Firearms: No rifles, pellet-guns, shotguns,
hand guns or archery equipment will be permitted on the
premises of the Fresno County Sportsmen's Club at any
time, except as authorized by the Executive Committee.
NO EXCEPTIONS. Failure to heed this rule may result in
loss of Club membership and privileges.
H. Boating: Boating is permitted on the river
only at the owner’s risk. No boats or other floating
devices are permitted on the Sportsmen’s Club pond
except as approved by the Executive Committee. No boats
are to be left on the club grounds unattended. All
vehicles must be returned to the parking lot after
unloading or loading of boats. NO EXCEPTIONS.
I. Fishing: Fishing is allowed under the current
Fishing Regulations as prescribed by the California Fish
and Game Commission. Game wardens may enter the Club
Grounds at any time to check for valid fishing license
or violations. Anyone 16 years or older must have a
valid fishing license. The Club strongly recommends
“catch and release” for all fishermen. Limits: Anyone
fifteen (15) years old or younger – two (2) fish.
Sixteen (16) years old or older may not keep any fish.
The Club recommends to all of its members who would like
to take fish home to try their luck in the river.
J. Handicapped fishing Pier: All persons with
disabilities have priority use of the Handicapped
Fishing pier at all times. No unattended children are
permitted on the pier. No sitting or standing on the
handrails is permitted. Do not cut bait or otherwise
carve or mutilate handrails. Help us keep the pier
looking new and clean. Report all violations to the
Caretaker as soon as possible.
K. Hunting: Absolutely no hunting of any kind
will be permitted on the Club property. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Failure to heed this rule may result in loss of Club
membership and privileges.
L. Swimming: Swimming or wading is not permitted
in the Sportsmen’s Club Pond. Swimming in the river is
allowed but at your own risk.
M. Clubhouse: Fresno County Sportsmen's Club
functions have first priority in consideration for use
of the Clubhouse. The Rental Manager may be contacted
for private functions to be considered on a reserved
basis only.
N. Tables: Picnic tables will not be within 20
feet of the pond. All tables that are moved must be
returned to their place of origin.
O. Equipment: All Club equipment and supplies
shall not be removed from the Club grounds or buildings
without the approval of the Board of Directors. All
grounds equipment will be operated only by approved
personnel.
P. Restricted Vehicles: No bicycles, motorbikes
or ATV's will be permitted beyond the main parking lot
except as authorized by the Executive Committee.
Q. Handicapped Walkway: No skates, skateboards,
roller blades or bikes are allowed on the Handicapped
walkway. This is for wheel chairs and pedestrians only.
Handicapped persons and wheel chairs have priority.
R. Excessive Noise: No obnoxious electronic noise
or behavior by anyone using the Club Grounds will be
tolerated. No amplification of sound will be allowed on
the grounds, outside of the Clubhouse, at any time,
except as authorized by the Executive Committee. A quiet
atmosphere must be maintained between the hours of 10:00
pm and 8:00 am.
S. Caretaker: The Caretaker is on the Club
Grounds and is there to look after the property for the
general membership. Courtesy must be maintained at all
times by the caretaker, the membership, their guests and
renters.
T. Uses: All uses of the Fresno County
Sportsmen's Club at 10645 Lanes Rd, Fresno, CA 93720,
are subject to the approval of the Board of Directors
and Executive Committee.
Notice: All persons that are not willing to adhere to
the rules and regulations of the Fresno County
Sportsmen's Club may be asked or forced to leave the
club property. Members who repeatedly ignore the rules
or Club by-laws can be subjected to refusal of
membership and loss of their privileges in the club. The
Caretaker duties include the enforcement of these rules
at the direction of the Board of Directors.
These ground rules are approved by
the order of The Board of Directors Effective October
20, 2011.
